Oslo, June 14, IRNA – European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini said on Tuesday that EU trade with Iran rose up by 22 percent in the wake of the sanctions were lifted.
Mogherini made the remarks in a joint press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and Norwegian Foreign Minister Børge Brende.
Asked about sluggish pace of the EU's acting on its commitment envisaged by the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action especially in the banking sector, she said that the EU has focused on the issue.
'Of course, more should be done to encourage the banks to work with Iran.'
