A project to provide electronic security is underway at Takht-e Jamshid Complex (Persepolis), which is located 60 km from Shiraz in Fars province. Qodratollah Tajbakhsh, the caretaker of Fars Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department, also explained to IRNA on Saturday security measures taken at the complex.
The official said cameras have been installed in different parts of Takht-e Jamshid to control all entries and exits, in addition to giving a complete view of the site. He noted that these measures will help improve the Achaemenid site’s protection. Tajbakhsh said a standard televised surveillance system, with the aim of increasing security and protection at the historical complex, has been launched. “This will also help view historical sites, such as Naqsh-eRostam, Shahr-e Estakhr and Naqsh-e Rajab,” he said.
