Spy Den Definition

Spy Den is a name given to the U.S. Embassy in Tehran because of its bad records of covert activities against Iranians.During the Iran hostage crisis which was a diplomatic crisis between Iran and the United States. 52 Americans were held hostage for 444 days from November 4, 1979 to January 20, 1981, after a group of students took over the American Embassy in support of the Iranian Revolution.Imam Khomeini issued a statement supporting the seizure and calling it the second revolution and the embassy an American spy den in Tehran.Iran-US diplomatic ties have been cut ever since and the Spy Den has now become a museum. Just looking at magnificent embassies of other nations in Tehran, it is certain that really civilized nations have understood the fact that having representation in Iran is not a right but it’s a privilege.
