سازمان باله ایران تعریف

(Wikipedia) - Iranian National Ballet Company

The Iranian National Ballet Company (Persian: سازمان باله ایران‎) was founded in 1968 by the Iranian Ministry of Culture. The company maintained approximately 50 dancers - many from Iran, Europe and the United States. Although it was the most known and recognized of all dance companies in the Middle East, it was dissolved in 1979 after the Islamic revolution in Iran.

The final director of the ballet company was Ali Pourfarrokh.

The repertoire of the company included:

  • Swan Lake (Tchaikovsky/Petipa-Ivanov-Beriosoff)
  • The Nutcracker (Tchaikovsky/Petipa-Beriosoff )
  • The Sleeping Beauty (Tchaikovsky/Petipa-Beriosoff)
  • Romeo and Juliet (Prokofiev/Beriosoff)
  • Carmina Burana (Orff/Butler)
  • Serenade (Tchaikovsky/Balanchine)

The company performed in Roudaki Hall Opera House (Talar Roudaki) in Tehran, Iran.

After two decades, the Iranian National Ballet Company was recreated in exile by the Iranian born choreographer and ballet artist Nima Kiann in Sweden under the name of Les Ballets Persans.
