TEHRAN, Apr. 17 (MNA) – Iran CAO president said the recent talks with Boeing officials emphasized the American company’s support for the airplanes operating in Iran's air fleet.
Ali Abedzadeh, the president of Iran Civil Aviation Organization (CAO), touched upon the negotiation with Boeing Aircraft manufacturing company asserting “similar to other airplane sellers, Boeing is eager to conduct talks with Iranian companies while providing services for the existing aircraft in the country were discussed in the first place.”
“Boeing has voiced willingness to sell airplanes to Iran,” highlighted Abedzadeh adding “certain talks have been held between Iranian aviation companies and Boeing of America though the details of which have not been revealed yet.”
The president of Iran’s CEO deemed support of the current Boeing airplanes in the Iranian air fleet as the main axis of talks between Iran and the manufacturing company; “Boeing aircrafts are of a good quality and have been approved by the Iranian CEO as we are also eager to purchase these airplanes.”
Referring to the arrival of the first Airbus aircraft in the current Iranian calendar year (began March 20), the official said “certain agreements have been reached during the talks with the European company though financing remains as a major issue in the contract.”
Deputy minister of road and urban development noted that resolving monetary issues will be a time-consuming process; “the issue is being pursued and Airbus will arrive in Iran once a resolution is achieved.”
Abedzadeh further noted the resumption of Airbus flights to Iran underlining “due to high significance of the country, Air France is highly eager to reinvigorate ties with Iran as indicated by the presence of the French transport minister on the first Tehran-Paris flight.
